The Center refers to space and movement.

Eternally relative to itself and to others, it moves according to the margin, gathers, tightens, federates.

Over the past few years, the workshops I have conducted in France and Senegal have brought me into contact with the prison environment of these two countries, as well as with shelters for people who have migrated between Africa and Europe.

Following these changes in environment, they shared with me their survival process in rebuilding their identities and new social connections. I witnessed moments where the therapeutic power of dance truly healed, allowing for the expression of vulnerability, which then became a source of resilience.

This process, in which displaced and marginalized people rebuild together a new dream space, raises profound questions for me.

In what ways are certain rituals used to transform everyday life and create new spaces of freedom?

I wonder about the universality of movements and traditions that travel from Africa to Europe, like traces of existence, allowing us to recreate connections. I feel drawn to the words of Memory, Heritage, Elevation, Rhythms, and Ancestral traditions. For me, a question about the notion of community, about the place of the individual within the group, will emerge from this process. This is the precious material that inspires my drive toward a new adventure, both artistic and human.

This research leads me towards a natural return to the roots of the Hip Hop movement.,

Born from the movement towards emancipation of marginalized groups through creativity, dance and music, as a culture it now faces questions of transmission, memory work and preservation.

I have a desire to immerse myself body and soul in HipHop with its shifting edges, whose values of universality and collective elevation, central to its emergence, could still be the source of a way of coexisting, of being together.

With a deep, unwavering desire to share them.
